Driving in New Zealand

Everyone driving in New Zealand needs to have a drivers licence – whether you are driving a car, motorbike, or truck. Other vehicles such as those that carry hazardous material or paying passengers (e.g. buses, forklifts, taxis, and tow trucks) need a licence endorsement as well as a driver’s licence.
