DRIVING IN
NEW ZEALAND

Everyone driving in New Zealand needs to have a drivers licence – whether you are driving a car, motorbike, or truck. Other vehicles such as those that carry hazardous material or paying passengers (e.g.  buses, forklifts, taxis, and tow trucks) need a licence endorsement as well as a driver’s licence.

There are three stages of getting your drivers licence.- Learners (Theory), Restricted (Supervised driving), and Full (Independent driving). Click below to find out more about each stage and how we can support you.
