Is there a bike in your blindspot?

The only way to know is to check your blindspot. This is very important during your practical driving test as it shows you are able to safely share the road with others.

Over the past years, more bike lanes have appeared to give cyclists a safe space to ride. When there are no bike lanes for cyclist, they are able to share the roads with other vehicles. That means when you are on your practical test and there is a bike ahead of you – what should you do?

✓ Check your blind spot by looking over your shoulder

✓ When passing, give the appropriate space (~1.5m)

✓ Make sure you understand when a cyclist wants to turn

✓ Understand the rules on sharing road with other users
